Daphne Iking
Dahlia Daphne Eleanor Mozes Iking is a notable Malaysian personality, model and actress. She was born on July 6, 1979 in Keningau, Sabah, Malaysia to a nurse, and local politician Mozes Iking, who are both Kadazan-Dusun. She is the second eldest amongst four siblings and grew up in Penampang.
Before she entered entertainment industry, Daphne considered furthering her studies in medicine related courses. But she later changed her mind citing her fear of blood. Daphne is a Master’s Degree in Communications (2004) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting (Film, TV and Radio, 2001) graduate from the reputable Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
Subsequently after she obtained her certificates from USM, she joined local television scene and in 2001, starred in a Pond’s advertisement. Her career in the entertainment soon began when she applied as a journalist with TV3 and progressed to host a programme known as Ringgit Sense.
Several years later, she hosted Malaysian version of ‘Amazing Race’ produced by TV3 known as Explorace. She began to build her portfolio by hosting other local television shows such as Vector Challenge, PNB World Investment Challenge, Explorace Kids and May/Antabax Health & Beauty Capsules.
Five years after she made her debut with TV3 as a host, she ventured into acting and starred in KL Lights. From TV3 to NTV7, she appeared as a host for Breakfast Show with other notable personalities. Besides that, she also co-hosted My Australian Adventure with Nazrudin Rahman (another famous personality inMalaysia).
She doesn’t stop there as Daphne continued her career to host over 30 televised and non-televised events over the years. She’s not only known for her style but also her talent as a host-cum-emcee and actress.

This stunning beauty and hot-mama made her way into modeling and appeared in several commercials – Kenny Rogers Roasters(2005) and Volvo S80 (2006). She was also featured in a couple of magazines such as Eve & Adam, EzyHealth, FHM and KLUE.
By October 2006 she started a relationship with businessman Ryan Chong. They met while Daphne was filming KL Lights.She revealed that she was getting married, in a live talk show.
The wedding was held in Bali, Indonesia in January 2007 and the event was published in the Malaysian edition of Hello magazine. She gave birth to daughter Isobel Daniella in November 2007.
In 2009 Chong accused a managing director, Choy Khin Ming under the Penal Code of 498 of Malaysian law for “enticing or taking away or detaining with a criminal intent a married woman”. Daphne and Chong divorced that year.
From the case it was revealed that Daphne’s child’s DNA does not match her former husband. Chong had also demanded RM1 million from his ex-wife as compensation for conceiving a child whom he did not fathered, although this was later dropped when the case resolved.
In 2011 Daphne converted to Islam and married for the second time to Azmi Abdul Rahman, who is her business partner. The marriage took place in January, in Sabah. She announced her second pregnancy in May.
