Soo Wincci

Soo Wincci is a beauty pageant participant who represented Malaysia in the Miss World 2008 pageant in South Africa. She is Miss World Malaysia 2008/2009.She is also a Talented Singer, Professional Actress, Composer, model, host, law degree and MBA holder,PHD student and Celebrity.

In 2004, Soo won the Miss Malaysia Intercontinental pageant, and also represented Malaysia in the Miss Intercontinental pageant in China. She obtained third position in the Miss Malaysia Oriental World pageant in the same year. In 2005, she was the second runner-up in the Miss Chinatown pageant.

In 2008, she won Miss World Malaysia and represented Malaysia in the Miss World beauty pageant in Johannesburg, South Africa.She was a semifinalist for the Miss World Top Model and top finalist for Miss World Talent contests.

In 2007, she graduated with a law degree from University of Reading, UK. In 2008, she obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Sunshine Coast through attending online courses at Segi College Malaysia, Kota Damansara campus. She also has certificates in vocal training, piano and composing.

In 2009, she is the charity ambassador for T-ratana welfare center, and also the ambassador for START foundation. In 2009, she acted in a local NTV7 Chinese sitcom, titled Mr Siao Mandarin Class. In 2009, she was appointed as SAMSUNG LED ambassador.

She involved herself with many charity events. She also wrote songs for children and performed to raise funds for charity organizations. August 18, 2009, Soo Wincci became the 1st Miss World Malaysia to come out with her self-composed singing album. Her music video was sponsored by Samsung. Also, Samsung appointed her song “Beauty With a Purpose” (which was sung in English, Malay, and Chinese) as the theme for Samsung LED. Her music video was broadcast throughout Malaysia.

In 2009, she represented Malaysia to Taiwan to perform in front of 30,000 audiences and also the Taiwan President Mah Ying Jiu

It was in year  2010, when she acted as Rebecca in Media Corp Chinese drama titled “Injustice”, she acted as Sophia in Mr Siao Season 2, she hosted for a cooking show titled, “Healthy Cooking With Agnes Chan”. She was appointed as the 1st ever Chinese spoke person for AVON ANEW SKIN in Malaysia. She was appointed as the ambassador of peace for Universal Peace Federation. She was appointed as the ambassador of the Red Crescent Society,she and a few other celebrity friends are the founder of “Malaysian Celebrity Go Green”.

Her 1st EP Singing Album sales finally hit 5000 copies in Malaysia a year after its release. Also in year 2010 she received a PHD scholarship from Open University Malaysia, which she will do it part time, estimated to complete her PHD in business in 2014.

In 2011, she released her 1st full chinese album titled “Ying. Guang”, she became the spokesperson for skincare Avon Anew for two consecutive years, she acted as Hui Ying in Media Corp Drama titled “Destiny In Her Hand”, she is filming for Asia 1st 3D thriller movie “Hunter”, which she played the role of a famous host named “Hu Jing”, which will be aired in Asia in year 2012, she will be also composing and singing for the movie theme song In 2011, she is the main actress for the film “Start Good Ends Good” which she will be acting together with famous Hong Kong actor Daniel Chan which will be aired in all sia cinemas in year 2012.
